Attended De Anza college, 1968-70. After graduating from De Anza I worked in the automotive and cable TV fields for a time.

After a few bumps along the way, in 1973 I started working as a Sheet Metal Worker. After a 30 year career I retired in 2003.

My oldest daughter is married and lives in Poulsbo, WA. .. I try to get up that way and visit the grandkids as much as possible. My lifelong bud, Frank Garcia, lives about 45 minutes away, in Snohomish.

These days my new 'career' has me playing golf, most days. .. [sniff, sniff] .. :) ..

School Story:

Coming back home on the bus from the 'all night party' at the Kings Bowl I remember looking out the window and thinking High School is really over. .. But wait. .. What's this? .. Here's Harry McBrien SMOOCHING Sandy Broome..........all the way back to Sunnyvale! . . . You thought we forgot? . . Noooooooo! ... :) .. . .

Later that morning a bunch of us were hanging out on the Senior lawn. A group of the class of '68 guys came up saying the lawn was theirs now. 'Tradition' supposedly said that the Senior lawn passed onto the next graduating class, at midnight.

I remember Jack Warren and a few of the '68 guys going back and forth and kidding around about the 'time'. .. It wasn't long before the kidding around stopped and things got tense. Jack saw this as a black and white issue - no middle ground. . . Jack Warren was one of the nicest guys in the world but if his buttons got pushed, enough, all bets were off. . . Jack stood up to those guys. NO lawn .. Not a single one of the 15 or so '68 guys were willing to step on the lawn..........or mess with Jack! .. The janitors ended up diffusing the situation when they turned the sprinklers on.

I remember the last time I saw Jack - at a surprise Birthday party, in 1974. The following year we were shocked to learn that Jack had passed away due to a heart ailment. I remember Jack from our elementary school days, at Bishop school.

Jack was athletic, strong, just an all around great guy. I'm sure others remember Jack in this way.

Jack, you're not forgotten.

Birthday party - July 24, 1956 ..
That's Judy Hendrix (Maselli) and Kathy Cole (Gee) in the lower right of the pic. My older sister, Kathy, and Judy's older sister Pat (SHS class of '64) are in the upper left of the pic. Ken Verdugo (SHS class of '69) and my younger sister, Betty, (stroller, SHS class of '73) are also in the pic.

April, 1971. .. That's Pat Finley (SHS class of '68) on the right. Steve Sawyer and Steve Rodriguez (crutches, both SHS class of '69) are on Pat's right.

October, 2007. Central Park, Santa Clara.. The occasion was Jim Flot's 60th Birthday party and reunion. There's Jim (SHS class of '66) in the light blue shirt. Larry Barton and Gene Yeakley (SHS class of '68) are to Jim's left.
